Trapped in a chronic hysteresis since 1979, Frazer Gregory has been a Doctor Who fan since a Dalek climbed the stairs in October 1988 and demanded unlimited rice pudding. A Timeless Child of Cartmel, he grew up in the Wilderness Years with a healthy supply of VHS, DWM and UKTV Gold. Having spent most of his fandom more reclusive than a Monk with a record player, he has emerged on Twitter like a Krynoid bursting from its pod and now threatening to ENGULF US ALL!!!
Frazer has earned himself the title “Champion of the Damned” through his ability to see the best in every story – to see through production values that are considered tawdry by others; to spot the humour where it’s often missed; to find the Optimum Angle of Enjoyment. Frazer is now on a mission to drop-kick like a P’ting that most unforgiving, ruthless and notorious of threats to Doctor Who: Received Fan Wisdom (RFW). He holds no truck with a story’s reputation: he knows his own mind, and is not afraid to speak it, no matter how contentious.
A father of 2 children, 1 dog and 4 rabbits, he often enjoys smelling a flower, watching a sunset and eating a well prepared meal. His shoes fit perfectly, and he can’t remember how long a Rel is either. His favourite Doctor is the 11th, and his favourite story is The Happiness Patrol. He lives his life by two simple mottos he has shamelessly pinched from other fans: I love all of Doctor Who, I just love some of it more than others, and Other Opinions Are Available.
